Pronunciation is one of the hardest things about learning English. For example, there are said to be ten ways of pronouncing the letter combination 'ough' in English (see my blog post and watch a funny video on this topic).
If you want to hear how a particular word is pronounced English, you basically have two options: use an online English dictionary such as Cambridge or Merriam-Webster, or an online pronunciation dictionary like Forvo. The problem is you only get to hear the word pronounced in isolation, not in the context of a sentence. Enter YouGlish (screenshot below), which is a wonderful online pronunciation dictionary that uses multiple clips from YouTube to illustrate how words or phrases are pronounced. All the clips have subtitles and you can even specify whether you want the British or American English pronunciation. Brilliant!
